ENGLISH As all students in Rosman High School are required to take English, there are ten classes taught during the day. Students learn the principles andbasic rules of the English gram- mar and apply them in themes and speech. In literature, the teachers strive to accomplish two broad pur- poses; (1) to expand the students ac- quaintance with literature, and (Z) to increase his appreciation of litera- ture . MRS. LA VERNE HOGSED and J. DEAN HENSON are our principle English teachers. 6 Jo Ann Carter, Gloria Moody, Gail Powell, Berniece Dunn, and Wilma Elliott proudly display the Elizabe- than dolls. The use of the adverb is being explained by Mr. Hen- son.
