DRIVER EDUCATION Driver education was introduced in- to the regular schedule for the first time this year. In this twelve week course, students attended regular classes and were taught, among other things, the different parts of the car and the rules of the ro ad. Twelve hours were spent in observing stu- dent drivers and six hours in actual driving. Mr. James Johnson is the teacher in charge of drivers educa- tion in Transylvania County. SECRETARY JOSEPHINE MORGAN is Mr. Tilson ' s efficient secretary-. Besides her office work, she is a great help to all the teachers and students alike, and is always ready to lend a helping hand.

BUS DRIVERS Most of the bus drivers are high school students and they have an ex- cellent record of safety. To become a bus driver, the boys must have com- pleted, not only drivers training, but also a special course in school bus driving . LUNCH ROOM STAFF About six hundred fifty well bal- anced, nutritious meals are served daily in the Grade A Rosman lunch room. The staff is headed by Mrs. Ella Mae Brooks and she is assisted by Mrs. Snipes, Mrs. Manley, Mrs. Dutton, Mrs. McClain, Mrs. Byers, and Mrs. Mahoney.
