COACH CATHEY Individual testing as a comparison and also for person- al measurement is recognized as an essential part of a worth while program. Progress can be measured and lised as an incentive for improvement. Participation in group and mass exercises and games is a very important part of a well-balanced physical education program. Physical fitness needs a greater recognition in our country as one of the means toward a better way of life. F PHYSICAL EDUCATION COACH SIMPSON A picture is worth ten thousand words may be the title here as a very valuable audio-visual aid is izsed in a health class. The importance of health as a sub- ject is recognized by the state in being a required sub- ject. The physical education and health ' program at Rosman High School is ; built on sound principles of general eduation. Pupil needs and interests must be met and supervi sed. It is the wish of Coaches WILLIAM J. CATHKY and RAY SIMPSON to do this. | It is of great importance that we take immediate steps to ensure that ever y Americ an child be given the op- ' portunity to make and keep himself physically fit- -fit to learn, fit to un- derstand, to grow in grace and statue, to fully live. --John F.
