I DEDICATIO Here is a man who exemplifies the ideal teacher. He knows his subject well, and through wisdom and under- standing shares its substance with his students. Therefore, the Class of 1960 wishes to show its appreciation to this highly esteemed teacher by means of this dedication. The tension, which arises because of the oncoming math regents, is dispelled by Mr. Brull's thorough prepara- tion. When diflicult homework problems appear, Mr. Brull announces uhero time for those who are brave enough to solve them. This cheerful and earnest presentation of mate- rial instills in the students a desire to learn. Therefore, the Class of 1960 hopes that Mr. Brull will accept our token of appreciation . . . the dedication of our yearbook. Mary Louise Hennessy ADMINISTRATION AND OFFICE ' That Roslyn High School functions smoothly is the result of the Work of our principal, Mr. Ross, and his assistant Mr. Canosa. In spite of his many administrative duties, Mr. Ross finds time to take personal interest in his students. His presence is always felt and appreciated at every one of our school functions. Mr. Canosa, our principal's right hand man, ably performs his difdcult job with dignity, diplomacy, and an occasional touch of humor. The leadership shown and the example set by these two men will be undoubtedly rellected in the lives of Roslyn students for many years after graduation. Not to be forgotten is the importance of the oflice staff in connection with the vast and complex activities of Roslyn High School. The staff not only serves as an indispensable aid to our principal, but is invaluable to the faculty and students as well. The Romans, knew their Latin, the Greeks knew their Greek, and Roslyn High School will teach its students the art of English before they complete their four years of schooling. To the delight of both teacher and student, the great realm of poetry is opened, and the famous Greek and Roman classics are read, broadening our knowledge and increasing our enthusiasm for more work in these fields. l E. These cul- tural values have not been dimmed by time. In Roslyn we appreciate the need for culture, as shown by the number of students participating in our varied music and art courses. From guitar to chorus, from basic art to advanced studies, our versa- tile music and art teachers provide us with a sense of app-reciation of music and art.
