CUNNINGHAM Hlzll D gil.-1 S TER We are living in an age ot contradictions in that we appear to exist in the best of times and yet we are living in the worst ot' times. We are living in the best of times because the world has arrived at a period ot' material advancement-especailly in education, science, and economics-tliat is perhaps the greatest that the world has ever seen. We are living in the worst of times because in an age of widespread education we are sutlering through one ol' the greatest war tragedies that the world has ever experienced. This presents to all ol you as graduates and tiuture men and women ofour beloved country a challenge which should tax your great potentiality to cope with life, so that you may be successtul and creative in preserving our natural heritage. My heartiest wish is that you will go on to further study at no matter what level and to greater achieve- ment, to help niake the world a better place in which to live. Seek to better yourselves educationally and morally. Do not be distracted by the aberrations that you obsewe around you. llave the courage to perse- vere in making our world sale lor all that we know to be good. and to shun all that we know to be evil. We congratulate your parents tor their support and interest in keeping you in school. We hope that they will continue to urge you to greater heights oliachievenient. We congratulate you for your perseverance. May the Good Lord help you in your will to be good citizens. May Ile srnile on you and encourage you in your ambitions and in your realization ol' the good life. May fiod bless you. 4 Q57 Zi. f ,. NNI SSI X l:,Wil.l.S'll lllgli-IR IAUIL YI Wy, MQ- a MARK If.
