Since nothing but the best would possiblv do. we were not surprised on opening night to see so manv of our chums on the stage. We regret to sav. however. that on account of the jealousv ot the Hollvwood professionals. our stars received no Oscars. And who will ever forget that great Shakespearian tragedy i 'N XYild Nell . XYe have among us two distinguished essavists. Christine Picozzi. and Donna Nolan. who won top honors in the Brook Farm Essav Contest. A desire for the best thoughts of the best minds of the age has brought our great periodical. T110 Tzltfler. into all the homes of the country. Un the evening of Februarv 25th, our crop of the social elite blossomed forth in tuxedos. gowns. and dancing shoes. Once more the ballroom of Louis XIV echoed to the strains of the statelv minuet. 101' was that what it was called?D The handsome beaux were those weird looking individuals who slink through the halls of Rossie with lemon and lavender checked socks. and red shirts whose graceful tails save the janitor from sweeping the Hoors. The beautiful. but not dumb belles looked positivelv ravishing in their Paris creations. Since November there has been a big boom in the camera industrv since Rossie seniors have been smiling at the birdie. Some of the final results were most grati- tving to our photogenic Tvrone Powers and Hedv Lamarrs. Some of the other proofs resembled Boris Karloff or Donald Duck. but thev were all good likenesses. It these people had onlv known ot the wonder of Dr. Ilecules Derrickstein's Face Lifting Salon thev could still bait then' xnousetraps with cheese instead of the pictures. .Xnd didnt those rings do wonders lor . - . w the chshpan hands oi Hossles sons and daughters.
