Girls' Physical Education, High School and Grades. Cheerleaders' and GAA. MR. MARK STROHBUSCH B. S. , Stout State Univ. , Menominee, Wisconsin Industrial Arts. This is our story, the story of a class which after four years leaves the familiar halls of Rosholt High School. In the four years we have shared together, the members of the Class of 1967 have really gotten to know one another. It was only four years ago that sixty timid strangers entered the formidable looking front doors of R. H. S. To start things off, we elected Marie Carter and Louise Larson to represent us on the Student Council while, by popular vote. -Doro- thy Tuskowski became class president: Jim Lemanczyk. vice-presidentg Noreen Golomski. secretary: and Maryanne Yenter, as treasurer, kept the money records. The first year was the roughest, but we were guided by Mrs. Nelson and Mr. Shafranski. The upperclassmen surely looked old and wise, even the sophomores whom we feared like plague until initiation was over. Dorothy Tuskowski represented our class as queen candidate at the 1963 Carnival. Later that year Maryanne Yenter made a beautiful March-of-Dimes Queen. We started our sophomore year with a feeling of improved status only to find that we were even more insignificant than during our freshman year. We were sandwiched between being new faces and being top-junior socialites. We had our fun initiating the greenhorned freshmen! We had lost eight classmates since our debut but our enrollment was re- inforced when Karen Schaaf, Carolyn Fliss. Dick Jaroch. and Melvin Windorski joined our ranks, bringing our number to 57. Our sophomore class officers included our most able president, Marie Carter: her sidekick vice-president, Claire Rombalski: Sharon Oksiuta, secretary: and keeper of the keys to the treasury. Carol Anderson: with Dorothy Tuskowski and John Wanserski representing us on the Student Council. Mrs. Rosholt and Mr. Murray served as our sophomore class advisors. That year Debbie Edseth, Louise Larson, and Dorothy Tuskowski won in the local forensic contest and represented us in the league competition, with Debbie representing us all the way to the State Forensic Contest. Our great pride was in the victory of our candidate, Noreen Golomski, who became queen of the 1964 Carnival. It was during our second year that Patti Oestreich and Dorothy Tuskowski earned positions on the B-team Cheerleading Squad. Next came the big plunge into the hectic junior year. Some big changes came about that year! For instance.the Student Council voted on miniature floats for the Carnival. in which competition our Fort Sumpter took second. Al so. at the beautiful Junior Prom the seniors were, for the first time. charged admission. Speaking of proms. it really was A Little Bit of Heaven, magnificent enough to cause the leader of our band. Dick Rogers, to describe it as the most beautifully decorated prom for which he had ever played. We danced until midnight to the heavenly music of Dick Rogers and his Orchestra. During our junior year our number diminished to 43. Luch Przybylski joined our bandwagon. We became a nice little family and got along great with the first-rate advice of Mr. Abrahamson, Mrs. Dehn, and Mr. Romundson. With our usual good judgement we elected a capable set of leaders: Melvin Windorski. a competent president: Louise Larson. a smooth vice-president: Suzanne Pliska, a sharp secretary: and Noreen Dollars Golomski carefully watching our exche- quer loaded from our candy sales. We chose Dick Jaroch and Karen Schaaf to represent us on the Student Council. Claire Rombalski was chosen as the 1965 Carnival Queen candidate. Dorothy Tuskowski. Noreen Golomski, and Maryanne Yen- ter became A-squad cheerleaders and Debbie Edseth and Louise Larson joined the B-squad. It was during our junior year that Mr. Ruckwardt created the Dance Band.made up primarily of the juniors. Among its members were: Louise Larson. Randy Helgeson, Carol Anderson, Suzanne Pliska. John Wanserski, and Claire Rombalski. It was this year that Claire took editorship of the Trumpet, Honored to represent us at the 1966 sessions of Badger Boys State and Badger Girls State were classmates John Wanserski. Melvin Windorski. and Marie Carter. Finally we have made the senior class--all 49 of us top bananas in R. H. S. We were delighted to have Susan Stanislawski join our ranks. We still can't believe we made it. To wrap up a good four years. we made Noreen Golomski our president: Bob Kluck, vice-president: Darlene Bushman, secretary: and Barbara Zblewski, treasurer. Bob Kluck, Marie Carter, John Wanserski, Louise Larson, and Karen Schaaf were our Student Council representatives. Mr. Hanna acted as class advisor. Lovely Louise Larson reigned as queen of the 1966 Carnival and our float. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon. was again first runner up. We're now at the bend in the road and no one can see what's around the corner. so Onward we go with God as our guide, with our families. our friends, and his gifts on our side. 9 . f A W , , I T, 1 A 1 .J 1 N 6 , ,K , .fb xy, v f5,5?L415, A ',ifvf:'f'f',Q' . Coach, Mr. Knoblocks R. Karpinski, M. Windorski, Coach, Mr. Langrock. In the words of our coach, Athletics at Rosholt took a turn for the better compared to the last several years. Both Basketball and Baseball teams are in conten- tion for top honors in the Wolf River Conference. The . baseball team ended the fall season with a 5-1 record and anxiously awaits the spring season. The wrestling team did nothave an impressive team record, but did have several outstanding individuals. As our epilogue to the above, we wish to express our appreciation to Mr. Langrock. He has been an inspi- ration not only to our athletic teams but also to the entire student body. 'jfremhs urniiure STEVENS POINT, WISCONSIN L 2. ,fu ' T fs 5 12 .
