Class Histor After sharing and completing four fun-loving years at Rosholt High School the class of 64 is about to emerge from the wings of guidance to walk into the world alone. We began our exciting and thrilling freshman year by becoming acquainted with all of the 57 students enrolled in our class. After getting to know one another, 15 of our friends left us: Roger Omernik, Jerome Ackern, Teddy Filtz, Jerome Garski, Maynard Goretski, Daniel Hintz, Dennis Hintz, Janet Kastner, Tom Mieska, Ervin Ostrowski, Nancy Tryba, Harvey Abrahamson, Ralph Tryba, Phyllis Kotolski, and Hubert Klesmith. As scared little greenhorns we chose the following to act as officers: Maxine Yenter, President: Lawrence Kizewski, Vice Presidentg Judy Firkus, Secretary, and Roger Omernik, Treasurer of the class. For Stu- dent Council representatives we selected Nancy Oestreich and Carole Tuskowski. Carole continued to represent us each year thereafter. Mrs. Schwab and Mrs. Tuszka were our class advisors. Lovely Pauline Omernik was chosen Carnival Queen candidate. Carole Tuskowski and Maxine Yenter were chosen cheerleaders for four years. After enduring one year of low man from our upper classmen we finally became sophomores and elected the following officers: Lawrence Kizewski, President, Connie Stanke, Vice President, Elaine Zalewski, Secretary and Michael Kaminski, Treasurer. We selected Bonita Flees to represent us on the Student Council. With the help of our advisors, Mrs. Rosholt and Mr. Orth, we were able to conduct our meetings successfully. As Carni- val time was nearing, we chose Carole Tuskowski to compete against the other queen candidates. With confi- dence and high hopes we worked like beavers to help her win the title and to try for a first place on our float. Our time and effort paid off, for our class walked off with the honors--Carnival Queen and first prize on our float. Karen Larson, for the next three years, joined Maxine and Carole as a cheerleader. When we became Juniors we knew that the year ahead of us would not be spent as leisurely as the previous years had been. We set out to work immediately by electing the following to lead us in the work that was before us: Nancy Printz, Presiclentg Maxine Yenter, Vice President, Nancy Oestreich, Secretary, and Connie Stanke as our Treasurer. Karen Larson was chosen as a Student Council representative, a position which she also held in her Senior year. Nancy Printz was chosen to compete for the crown and throne for the Carnival. As Spring drew near we found ourselves exceptionally busy for we were learning to become stars . We put on No More Home- work , under the patient direction of Mr. Kenneth Wood. One of the highlights of our Junior year was, of course, the Junior Prom. The royal couple was King Gerald Witkowski and Queen Nancy Printz. Our theme, Blue Hawaii , was carried out in the Hawaiian motif along with music provided by Dick Rogers and his Orches- tra. Every year the faculty selects a Junior girl and two Junior boys to attend Badger Girls' State and Badger Boys' State. This year the honors went to Karen Larson, Paul Szalewski, and Edward Ferg. These students were very happy and proud. They said it was an experience they will never forget. With a special note of apprecia- tion and gratitude to Mrs. Wieczorek and Mr. Oestreich, otu' advisors, we acknowledged their efforts in making our Junior Prom and all of our other activities a success. This ended our third year of education, with ever- lasting memories of work, fun, and effort. At last we were seniors, a class others looked up to as leaders. We, of course, felt privileged, but also we hated the thought of leaving school. For the last time we elected officers: Stanley Jakubek, President, Nancy Firkus, Vice Presidentg Judy Firkus, Secretaryg and Lawrence Kizewski, as Treasurer. Mr. Hanna, as usual, was the class advisor. This year we felt that we would work especially hard to get our candidate Nancy Firkus to reign as Carnival Queen. Our efforts were rewarded, for Nancy won the royal crown and wore it regally and with dignity and made a very lovely queen. During these memorable years at Rosholt High School we also contributed active participants in all extra- curricular activities. Realizing that the time has gone by so swiftly, we shed tears as we reminisce--things we have enjoyed together and the long friendships we have made. We hate the thought of being separated from one another and starting out on our own.
