Now, it was our turn to initiate the Freshmen--an event we had awaited with great anticipation. We chose Margaret Flees to be our candidate for Carnival Queen. During the second semester Victor Schuttenberg and Jerry Lorbiecki left us, and now our roll was reduced to 38. As the rosy days of late summer were closing in on us, we realized that the doors of Rosholt High would soon be opened, welcoming us back for our Junior year. And this year, Dennis Glodowski, Henry Stanislawski, John Hintz and Ronald Kluck had not returned. During the second semester we were happy to have Mary Ellen Kurszewski and Ronald Not telson join us. We elected the following class officers: President ........... . We chose Louise Omernik to be our candidate for Carnival Queen. Our class was very proud to win first prize on our float and to have our candidate crowned Queen of the 1960 Carnival. The highlight of this year was our Junior Prom. Our theme was South of the Border. Joey Malek and Mary Ann Bembenek were the royalty. Cliff Hoene pro- vided the music. June Torbenson and Myron Stankowski were selected to represent our school at Badger State. As we reorganized in 1961 for our final year at Rosholt High, we found our class roll to be 36. Robert Clark had joined us. We chose the following officers: President .,,,,, , , Ronald Nottelson Vice-President , . . .Myron Stankowski Secretary .... . . . Carol Kulas Treasurer .... ............ J oey Malek Student Council .......... Mary Ellen Kurszewski, Dolores Burant Council President .................... June Torbenson Our class advisor was Mr. Hanna. We chose Barbara Kulas as our candidate for Carnival Queen. Right after school started, Shirley Matson moved to Appleton with her family. Dolores Burant was chosen to receive the D.A. R. Award. We kept ourselves so busy that the Senior year was gone before we realized it. Baccalaureate Sunday, May 20, arrived before we had time to grasp anything we had left behind. With mixed emotions we were graduated knowing we shall always have pleasant memories of our school days at Rosholt High. A.
