These members, in turn elected their advisor, Mr. Wrolstad. The Carnival was the biggest project of the Student Council and was quite success- ful. Some of its other activities have included: planning programs for special occasions, campaigning for March of Dimes, sponsoring movies during noon-hour and planning Visiting Day for eighth graders. A11 school activities must function through the Student Council. Its members also help to formulate the rules by which the student body is governed. Ronnie Dulak was giving our refreshments He's on vacation from Milwaukee where he is a designer in a famous girdle factory. With him was Phyllis Woyak, his best model. On a table in the center of the room we saw Miss Swivel Hips, formerly known as Carol Slagoski, who was demonstrating the new dance routine that she picked up in Hawaii. Accompany- ing her was Ralph Gilbert, her manager, who likes to get in the act. Dolores t Wierzba just returned from location in Africa where she starred in her latest movie, Congo Bathing Beauties. She said she saw Florian Yenter swinging from tree to tree like Tarzan, keeping just a swing ahead of all his female admirers. Mary Zabrowski couldn't come because she's too busy curling Gorgeous George's hair. She now specializes in waving wrestlers hair. Leroy Wrycza happily told us that he took over J ack Webb's job on Dragnet when he retired. Oh yes, and Jack's latest wife too. The former Gertrude Bunczak is busy working in the photography studio run by her husband Stevie, so she could not attend. Geraldine Wrycza is happily married to Jerome, and to prove it, she brought all their kids along. Phyllis Colrud just couldn't stay away from home so she came back to be Music Director at Rosholt High. She also has a husband and four children to care for during her spare time. Her kids and Geraldine's had a wonderful time playing together during the reunion. Virginia Pezewski is now engaged to Aly Khan's father, the Aga Khan, since his wife died. She always said she'd marry a rich old guy. Maynard Richter is now a dance instructor at Arthur Murray's. He managed to leave his job for a few days so that he could teach all of us a new dance step to the Rock and Roll Waltz. Rose Dobbe is here from Chicago. She 'arrived two days ago, and she mentioned that we should all stop in and see her famous night club, The Kit Kat. Bernadine Yenter sent a telegram saying she could not attend the reunion, but that we should all have a good time for her. She is now in Germany, where her husband, Danny is a twenty-year man. .T oan Essex is now a top executive at the Waldorf Astoria. She is very well-known as the personal secretary to the President, Waldorf A. Storia. Dolores Domaszek is personnel manager for Rock Hudson. He accompanied her as far as Chicago on his flight East. Seems she can't say enough about him. Everyone got free tickets to his latest movie, thanks to Dolores. Arlene Stanislawski says she is a nurse for Doctor Jonas Salk. While she was present she tried to vaccinate everyone against polio. In the corner we found Enid Zakrzewski examining a mouse hole with her spy glass. She is a Private Eye for Lloyds of London. Helping her was Bette Bratz who is an Ambassador to Russia --who also stopped W. W. III by flirting with the Premier. Beverly Catozzi just dropped in for a minute. She's a professional gadabout now and she couldn't leave her work. Jerry Urban called everyone outside to seehis new invention, an atomic motor in a car which he also designed. He started this car in his senior year during Chemistry classes. It is operated by brain waves, therefore, none of us could try it out. Edwin Ostrowski flew down in his new private supersonic jet. He just made his third million raising pigeons and rabbits for Central Park. Adeline Wilkowski said she had some of her paintings hung at a famous gallery in Paris. It seems she's running competition for Rembrandt. Carol Kurszewski now owns Monte Carlo Cassino where Mike Cieslewicz spends most of his time and money shaking dice. Carol closed the cassino for one night so they both managed to attend the retmion. The evening was a success after the arrival of Mr. Hanna, our senior class advisor, who staged an act entitled Hairless Joe. At 4 a.m. everyone left the party singing Show Me the Way to Go Home. 14 CLASS III Till! In the Fall of 1952, we started our high school years at Rosholt--thirty-two eager Freshmen. EnidZakrzewski Wally and Brainstorm want Lois Updike to enter a beauty contest and win for reasons of their own. By chance the boys buy a Zoozah, half human, half monkey, which reputedly brings its owner good luck, They try to convince Lois that she cannot lose with such a creature in the house. The boys find it hard to conceal the creature in the basement or closet, as its presence must be kept from Mrs. Updike. Wally doesn't know his girl friend, Elaine, has escaped from her tyrant-like guardian by disguising herself as the Zoozah. Brainstorm is bewildered by Zoozahs everywhere present. Complications are ironed out, how- ever, and life soon gets back to normal. Compliments of 'KREMBS HARDWARE, Stevens Point, Wisconsin 26 -t -A TPLAY XSTANDING, Left to Right: J. Czerwonka, R. THE PRINCESS MARRIES THE PAGE This play is a charming interlude with a theme that might have been taken from an old fairy tale. A princess sits in her tower, when a gay young page breaks in on her privacy. There follows a war of words, accompanied by soft looks. Suddenly an alarm is sounded, soldiers are marching to the tower. The page is not a page at all, but the son of a neighboring ruler. The curtain falls with a thoroughly satisfactory ending - they fall in love and decide to be married. THE CAST AND STAGE CREW Princess . . . . . Pat Rogoski Page . . . .... PUREBRED SWINE PROJECT One of the major activities of the Rosholt FFA Chapter is the Purebred Swine Project sponsored by the State Bank of Rosholt and the Rosholt Sales Company. They originally purchased four purebred Hampshire Gilts to start the project and then it became self-supporting. A FFA member receives the gilt in the spring upon request. He is re- quired to endiibit the gilt at the Rosholt County Fair in the fall. When the pig farrows the next year, he gives one gilt to another FFA member. The orginal pig and the remaining gilts are his todo with as he wishes. The Rosholt Chapter also receives one gilt from Sears Roebuck and Company which sponsors a similar project in Portage Cotmty. The Future Farmers of America, or FFA as it is commonly known, is the national orginization or, by and for boys studying vocational agriculture in public secondary schools. Its motto is: Learning to dog doing to learn: earning to liveg living to serve. Its colors are National Blue and Corn Gold. It is a non-profit, non-political, farm youth organization of voluntary membership, designed to take its place along with other agencies striving for the development of leadership, the building of a more permanent agriculture, and the improvement of country life, The Future Farmers of America exists today because of a cooperative spirit and a desire on the part of farm boys, 14 to about 21 years of age, preparing for farming through vocational agriculture, to have a national organization of their own in which they may secure practical business experience, act as their own instructors, and enjoy the fellowship of one another. The activities of the Rosholt Chapter have included the Father-Son Banquet, a trip to Milwaukee, the Snowball, attending the officers training meetings, and attending the State F . F. A. Convention at Green Lake. The delegates chose to attend the 1955 convention held in J une were Kurt Knopp and Onufry Karch.
