The day has finally arrived at last and we are ready to graduate and see what lies ahead for us. As we leave these four wonderful years at Roseville High School, we have many memories, many of which will never be forgotten. We'll never forget our first day and how scared we were. That year there were 78 of us. Our advisers, who were so nice in helping us during our first few weeks, were Mrs. Ballantine, Mr. Carnes, and Mr. Curl. Our class officers were: Jon Woodward, President; Craig Watt, Vice-President; Marsha Williams, Secretary; and Pat Fletcher, Treasurer. We chose pink and black as our class colors. We elected Phyllis Morgan as our cheerleader, and we chose Darlene Koehler as our homecoming attendant, who had Craig Watt as her escort and Terry Bell for her driver. Those Freshmen who had the honor of being chosen to the Rosette Staff were: Darlene Fluhart, Jon Woodward, Sue Ford, Mike Hartley, Craig Watt, and Mary Lou Crouse. Those chosen to be on the Hilites Staff were: Jan Emory, Darlene Koehler, Steve Maxwell, Judy Blauser, and Jim Chrisley. Four girls were chosen to be in the Library Club. They were: Phillis Morgan, Sue Ford, Jane Barr, and Kathy Spears. One of the highlights of the year was the selling of Autograph Hounds to raise money for our Senior class trip. SOPHOMORE We entered our Sophomore year with 73 members. Our advisers this year were: Mr. Dantonio, Mr. Cox, and Mr. Ballantine. We chose as our class officers: Jon Woodward, President; Jackie Noce, Vice-President; Darlene Fluhart, Secretary; and Pat Pletcher, Treasurer. Phyllis Morgan was chosen as our homecoming attendant, who had as her escort, Mike Hartley, and Larry Hina as her driver. Sue Ford was elected as our cheerleader. The biggest highlight of our sophomore year, was, of course, being measured for class rings. One of our members, Jon Woodward, received Honorable Mention on the All Southeastern Ohio Football squad. JUNIOR During the summer vacation, a few of our classmates dropped out of school, and we returned with 60 members. Our class advisers were: Mr. Crady and Mr. Paulette. We chose as our class officers: Jon Woodward, President; Craig Watt, Vice-President; Jackie Noce, Secretary; and Pat Pletcher, Treasurer. Judy Dawson was chosen as our homecoming attendant. She had Gregg Folden for her escort and Richard Ditter as her driver. Those members of our class who were chosen for the Lola Clark Chapter of the National Honor Society were: Jon Woodward, Darlene Koehler, Darlene Fluhart, and Jackie Noce. Don Wilson and Jackie Noce were elected to the Rosette staff. We chose as our class colors, blue and white. We held our annual Junior Variety Show in November and everyone enjoyed participating in it. Next, we sold magazines to help raise money for our Senior class trip. In April, we presented our Junior Class Play, HOLD THE PHONE”, which was under the direction of Mr. Crady. During football and basketball season, we sold calendar pencils to help put on the Junior-Senior Prom. One of our members, Mike Hartley, was chosen to be a delegate to the Buckeye Boys' State. The biggest highlight of our Junior year was putting on the Junior-Senior Prom. We all had a good time getting ready for it. The theme of the prom was Sentimental Journey . Everyone was tired after working so hard, but they still enjoyed themselves very much. One of our members, Jon Woodward, was elected to the first team in basketball, in M. V. L. Bob Bargar was Co-Captain of the baseball team. SENIOR As we entered our Senior year, we had 52 members. We had the usual things to discuss----pictures, caps and gowns, name cards, invitations, and of course, the class trip. One of the big days of this year was being measured for caps and gowns. Our advisers were: Mr. Mentis and Mr. McDonald. We chose as our class officers: Bob Bargar, President; Tom McGee, Vice-President; Sue Ford, Secretary; and Don Wilson, Treasurer. We sold R. H. S. pins and sponsored two dances to help raise money for our Senior class trip. The football squad chose Judy Dawson as homecoming queen and Jackie Noce was elected as her Senior attendant. Judy's escort was Gregg Folden, and her driver was Max Russell. Jackie's escort was Jon Woodward and Jerry Weakley was her driver. The members of the Senior class who held offices in various clubs and sports were: Darlene Fluhart and Jon Woodward, Co-Editors of the Rosette; Darlene Koehler and Steve Maxwell, Co-Editors of the Hilites; Sue Ford and Kathy Spears, Head Librarians; Bob Bargar, Tom McGee, and Harry Strickler, Co-Captains of the football team; Jon Woodward and Max Russell, Co-Captains of the basketball team; Paul Harper, President of Varsity R ; Judy Dawson, County President of F. Bob Bargar was chosen to the All Southeastern Ohio Football squad. Tom McGee was chosen to All M.V.L., Offense and Defense. Bob Bargar was also chosen to All M.V.L., Offense and Defense. In an election taken by the entire school, Judy Dawson and Bob Bargar were elected Most Friendly Senior Girl and Boy and also Most Popular Senior Girl and Boy; Jon Woodward and Judy Dawson, Senior Boy and Girl Who Did Most for the School; and Jackie Noce and Jon Woodward, Senior Girl and Boy Most Likely to Succeed. Roger Novaria received Honorable Mention on the All Southeastern Ohio Football squad. Now as we 52 Seniors prepare to graduate, we say goodbye to our teachers and classmates and to all the good times we spent together during our four wonderful years at Roseville High School. We have wonderful memories of these four years which will linger and linger for years to come. As we leave this school for the last time, we only hope that the future will hold success for us in whatever we choose to do. We have not only had fun these last four years, but we have also learned a great deal, and the time has now come for us to put this knowledge to work as we leave this wonderful school and enter the world out- side of school. ---Jackie Noce--- 21
