ff, I 'Z S' 6 SENIV R CLASS i-IISTORY Our senior class started off four years ago as a very bewildered group of freshmen. During our freshman year the United States declared War on the Axis, after the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor in December. War brought about a great many changes in our routine, and as a class We devoted our extra time to scrap drives, bond and stamp drives, first-aid, and an emergency hospital. Sophomores at last, we could no longer be called Uneophytesf' This was a grand year for the sophomores, and it was surely fun going on those biology hikes. The most important War benefit of the year was the War Bond Drive in which the school was to raise enough money to buy one jeep. With the cooperation of the entire school, enough bonds were purchased to buy nine jeeps. This year the Girls' League went all out by donating one night's proceeds to the Red Cross. The main events that the juniors remember are term papers and the Junior Prom. This year was no exception and the term paper themes dealt with the World at war. The Junior Prom with the theme of Winter- land was the first Winter prom of the school's history. We, juniors, thought it best to hold the prom early, as so many of the boys were leaving for the service. In the class competition in bond and stamp purchases, the juniors bombed Tokyo twice before any other class could succeed in reach- ing the target. Our last year in high school arrived-too soon for the majority of us. Many of our boys had already left for the service and others are leaving soon. In order to keep Roseville's servicemen informed, the high school has started the 'iNeWsletter, which gives information about school affairs and also about the servicemen themselves.
