They have also aided the war effort by buying bonds, by donating to the Red Cross drives, and bwlgenerously giving up their free time to war work. A great ddial of credit should be given to the Board of Trustees who have made possible the many opportunities offered us in our present curriculum. I -3

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Our Freshman year found us a group of entirely bewildered students, getting our first glimpse of high school life when we were entertained at the Freshman Reception. Decor- ating for Baccalaureate was our contribution to school activities. Our class officers were Jack Southern, Bill Van Vliet, Phyllis Terry, John Williams and Jean Rae Curran. Early in our Sophomore year the United States was plunged into war, but we had not yet begun to feel any of its hardships. Serving our class as officers were the following: Leo Clark Iola Odgers, Lester Davidson, Bette Mae Etzel and Maxine Alexson. Q.L-'L ,- i7 Our Junior year found our class diminished slightly when about seven of our Japanese classmates were removed to internment camps. The Junior Prom, with its Ship Ahoy theme, was the climax of our social activities. Our class officers were: Lester Davidson, Darleen Gordon, Dick Barney and Jack Southern. Our Senior year finds us a small but eager group, looking forward to a bright, peace- ful future which we hope to help bring about. Most of our boys will soon be in the armed forces and our girls are planning to continue their education and fit themselves for a place in the post-war world in which they will live. Our class officers were: George Sachs, Danny Trimble, Charlotte Crowder, David Free, Doris Olson and Deno Rastler.
