Superintendent's Message Dear Friends; May I take this opportunity to commend each of you for the splendid job that has been done in the production of this attractive year- book. It bespeaks of a high-type program and reflects many outstanding accomplishments in education characterized by everyone in your school. I hope you will use these many and varied experiences as a firm foundation upon which to build and grow, and there will be an ever- increasing pride in this school which made it possible for you to participate in so many educational activities. Your teachers, parents and associates will watch your future progress with great interest because your success will also be the suc- cess of all who have worked with you. He is a dedicated teacher devoted to the task of helping to educate and train his students. Parents will be indebted to him throughout their lives and our nation will benefit from the Influence he has. Students who pass his way are fortunate and will cherish his kindness, loyalty and sym- pathy. He is a person of noble character and wise council and well de- serves this tribute. Principal's Message MR. CALHOUN We who believe in the sacredness of the individual are convinced that effective devel- opment of human personality should be the role of education. I hope that every student in our school will never underestimate his ability for success, for you have seen proof of higher achievement on many occasions. This proof should be an inspiration for you to move forward and accept with enthusiasm the challenges, and strive diligently for the eventual improvement of which you are capable. To you who are responsible for the publication of this book, I extend my sincere con- gratulations for a job more than just well done. As the years go by, the memories recorded herein will be a source of happiness as you browse through the pages from time to time, recalling the enjoyable days spent in the Rose- pine School.
