Those were the days we spent working, playing, and sharing to- gether--the days when our greatest worry was a test coming up tomorrowg How well we remember all the classes and the teachers! We fondly recall the School's trophies and the teams that won them, the plays, the class parties, the music concerts and contests in which we happily participated. Those days are now complete for us the Seniors of 1956. We hope to capture and hold these memories in the 1956 Cardinal. They stopped at the bank to ask directions and were amazed to see Frank Carter behind the president's desk. He told them to go see the new school that had just been completed. A As they drove up to the front of the building a large sign reading WMackey Construction Company' greeted them. Jr. Mackey, the owner, joined them and directed them around the block to see the Agriculture Department. Larry Atkins, the teacher, was preoccupied at the moment disciplining three of Eva's fifteen boys. The gym door opened as they walked past and out bounced Helen. She was back in town searching for more talent for her world's champion basketball team. She told them she was still waiting patiently for her navy ship to come in. The Home Economics teacher, Ruth Anne, invited the entire group out to meet her millionaire fiance at one of his thousand acre farms in the area. Out in the woods the entire group picniced. Up in a large tree, you guessed it, they saw the great tree surgeon, Herbert Roup. Poor Barbara, she's just like a leaf--out on a limb--waiting.for Herb to ncatchn her. She has saved every penny she earned as a designer. Checking up on some of the others, they found Charlotte and Sharon both in St. Joseph. Sharon is a secretary on her boss's lap. Her greatest worries are marrying him and keeping from getting fat. Charlotte kept her trim figure. She married her boss and now has five children to keep the fat exercised off. Just then there were two more visitors to the picnic. Wayne Grishow flew his plane in from his 5,000 acre ranch in Texas. Larry Freeman drove in with a roar in his atomic powered truck. From far-off Tasmania came word of Jim. He is a great engineer and is married to a native girl. Poor Maxine, no one ever goes near her. She's now a surgical nurse. She always keeps some remembrance of each operation, a bone, an appen- dix, a pair of tonsils, or something else in her apartment. No one can catch up with Carrol. He's won his fame in his own way. Wworld Champion Auto Race Driver' is the title by which he is known. At last word comes from Joyce. She is running a day nursery on one of the earth's satellites--taking care of the children from outer space. The sponsors are not gone and are not forgotten. Mrs. Diggs has quit teaching five times. Now she is in Washington D.C. as a tutor to the president's children. Mr. Adams is a very famous inventor now. He developed a hair grower that really works. New he has both millions and hair.
