W is In the year of 1959, Lyle Rahn, Postmaster at Rosemount and his assist ants, Don Ryan, Alice Jensen, and Beverly Steffen, happened upon an tremely large letter in the dead letter files They being rather nosey and it being partly unsealed, they opened it Apparently it was a round robin wrltten by members of the class of l9L9 It read as follows Dear Kids, My entry in the round robin may be rather dull as Bob and I have been staying home a lot However, we are planning on going to a basketball Game Friday night between the Minneapolis Lakers, who are coached by Al Daly, and the Rochester Royals, who are coached by Joe Fox Hope they will have time to chat with an old married woman after the game Maybe you have'nt heard that Marvin Sell, star of the NBag of Bell dadn, was married last week to his leading lady, the well known singing star, LaLa Heart breaker Delphia, her husband, and their three little ones dropped over the other evening for a visit On our ninth wedding anniversary Bob took me to the WRosetta Cup', Arlene Bartelt's famous restaurant Well, must get dinner now As ever, Joan Thor Hello, Before Mr Brand, Richard that is, my new boss, calls me in for an other letter I'll got down a few lines The meal Pstate business keeps both of us rather busy I'm just waiting for lunch to hear the latest gossip from Ellen Per ron, Esther Cliff, and Lucille LeMay, who are secretaries here Guess who I went to a dance with the other n1ght9' Bernard Gorv1n,now a famous star for the Greenbay Packers Were we surprised to find 'Hot lips Gill and his Hoodlums' playing there Just time to get my coat and hat before lunch hour Bye. Beverly Vought My dear Classmates, In the midst of the confusion of my classroom at the U of M I shall endeavor to relate to you some of the details of my life here. My fellow colleague, Laverne Boesel, has just received her doctors degree in Chemistry. Also, I have just received an invitation from Noel L. Smith to attend his graduation from West Point Academy. I was morti- fied to learn that Bernice Johnson models the newest bathing suits for the magazine 'Better Homes and Gardensn. A minor disturbance just occurred which warrants my attention. So long for now, Douglas E. Lood Hi, This is the end of a hectic day at my dress shop here in Chicago. Sunday night I am attending Lois Rueger's wedding and reception which promises to be a very gala affair. I'm planning on having my hair done at Monsieur Holzes Beauty Salon. You'll remember him as Ray Holz. In the latest edition of the New York Times, I noticed that a benefit show is being put on featuring Dolores NBabeN Sell, the famous wrestling champ, and the light-weight champion of the world, Frank Schuller, man- aged by Robert Rechtzigel. LeRoy Wenzel, the famous motor-cyclist, is also making an appearance. I'll have to close now because Mary Joan Slater who is planning on being married, has come for the last fitting of her bridal gown. So long for now, Dorothy Erikstrup x 1 A , F ,C,,,'i.f PEGPHE5 g
