AI- together, the team had a record of eight wins and eleven losses while in league they were four and six. The most exciting game of the season hap- pened against Arroyo where the team was down by one game but recovered to win, a great come from behind vic- tory. The toughest game of the season was against EI Monte where the team lost but only after some close matches. The team had many young players who will help the varsity next year. TENN S PLACES THIRD Girls JV Tennis did very well this year. The team consisted of eleven players in which three players alternated between the Varsity and the JV Team. Also, only three returned from last year. The team finished third in league with a five win, three loss record under Coach Peter O. Martinez. Outstanding individuals were the doubles teams of Pam Holding-Stella Wong and Jane Kim-Joy Soriano. The number one singles player. Maria Liu. also contributed to the success of the team. Their match against Mountain View was one of the best. It was a very close game in which our team came out victorious. Coach Martinez was really proud of the team and stated, l'm proud to be the coach of such outstanding players! The team was very cooperative and worked very hard ,, A tcyggthelx to win a lot of matches.
