SERVICE CLUBS SHDW CDNCER COMPASSIO Key Club is a service club sponsored by business men from the local Kiwanis Club. It s the only all-boys club on campus. The Key Club's main objectives are to serve our school and community and to build strength and character in their members. Some of their activities were: transporting tian Home book sale sponsoring an emer- gency blood drive for relief of the Mexican earthquake victims volunteer drivers for College Night. They also participated in the Quaker Oats Project to save starving chil- dren in 42 countries. The Key Club s motto is: Caring - Our Way of Life. Keywanettes is a service club also spon- sored bythe Kiwanis Club of Rosemead, The very first official Keywanettes service club was founded here at Rosemead, In l974. when the club first started it was called the present day name. The Keywanettes help around the community as well as the school. This year the Keywanettes attended the April convention held at the L.A. Hilton thanks to the generous support of the Kiwanis Club. If you know a Keywanette member you know someone who is inter- ested in helping their fellow man. New Horizons is a service club on campus. lt's main emphasis is to raise money for scholarships to he awarded to graduating seniors. They held many fundraisers Day candy sales and Cinco de Mayo. The club has also helped the Folklorico group.
