FROM DANCING FEET TO MONDAY MORNING NEWS RHS IS RE DY TO PERFORM Gobd morning and welcome to this edition of the Rosemead Report. Top headlines are . . Sound a bit familiar? lt should because one can hear these exact lines every Monday morning during second period, and what bet- ter way to kill time in class than by watching the news? The Rosemead Report team works hard each week to bring you all the latest school newsfevents, sports, and whatever happenings an RHS student may need to know. The news also helped a few students wake up with its loud theme song! Could this production team be holding the next Walter Cronkite or .lane Pauley with Brian Tatosky or .ludy McGinley? Only time will tell! A new set of dancing feet has hit the grounds of Rosemead High. This new group, called Folklorico, was sponsored and started by Ms. Angelita Gonzales. Folklorico concentrates on regional dances from Mexico. Although they didn't perform in any competitions, they did present a performance on RHS' History Day and on Cinco de Mayo, The members of Folklorico put a lot of extra hours after- school and dedication into their dances with the help of their teacher, Mr. Robert Hernan- dez. They also raised money to keep the club alive which Ms. Gonzales hopes will help Folklorico to continue for more years to come. Dance Production, which was headed by Ms. Barbara Robbins. was unable to perform their annual dance concert due to the lack of dancers and experience. Even with the early signs of a small. inexperienced dance club. things looked as if the dance concert was going to pull through with the help of danc- ers outside the club. Unfortunately, many were unable to participate thus cancelling the concert. Nevertheless, the club worked on new formats and ideas to prepare for future concerts. Ms. Robbins adds, I'm hoping next year's dance concert will incorporate a lot more Iivelier aspects with dance, including singers and possibly bands. 62!Clubs Members of T.V.
