.IV BASEBALL WINS FI E OUT OF FIRST SIX I think we have the potential of being towards the top of the league standings and maybe even taking the championship. commented J,V. player Mario Ramos. With such enthusi- asm the J.V. Baseball started this season with a record of 5 wins and I loss. The loss to Arroyo was their first of the season, but that didn't seem to dampen their spirits. The Panthers went on to defeat the Mountain View by a score of 7 to 2. Some of the outstanding players were Pitcher Mike Martinez. centerfielder Da- vid Duarte, and shortstop Andy Sanchez. One of the most exciting games was the first game of the season against Bosco Tech. The team won I3 to 4 which gave the team more confidence. The season record at this time was I win 2 losses I tie.
