. . WRESTLERS DO WELL I TQURNAMENTS The J.V. Wrestling team was very competi- tive this year. Under Coach Gilbert Adame. they won most of the matches that they entered. In tournament competition, they placed first in the Paramount tournament. first at Buena Park. second in the Mark Keppel tournament, and another first in our very own tournament here at Rosemead which won us six individual tournament champions. The wrestling team worked hard during the summer and competed in several summer league tournaments. This helped the J.V. wrestlers gain valuable ex- perience, which they needed for league competition. Some of the outstanding wres- tlers included Gerardo Armendariz, Joe Totsis, and Adrian Martinez. Gerardo Ar- mendariz said about the season. Overall we had a slow start but we came out strong in the end. Most of the J.V. guys will wres- tle Varsity to defend our CIF champion- ship. I.
