Officers for the first semester were President, Duane Luane Bennington, Stonecypher, Vice-President, Virginia Marple, Secretary, Alberta Bryant, Treasurer. Second semester officers were Duane Stoncypher, president, Carol Ruemke, vice-president, Heidi Pfarrer, secretary, Nicky Weber, treasurer. F.B.L.A. sold Frosh Beanies at the beginning of the year, and sold Christ- mas cards in November. SOMEDAY they'll be the real busi- ness leaders of America. S 1 , 1 Future Homemakers of America was sponsored by Miss Claudia Reinhold. During the Fall semester they elected Adrian Sandolow, president, Virginia Ray, vice-president, Isabel Ramos, sec- retary, Janet Dorsett, treasurer. Second semester officers were Isabel Ramos, president, Eileen Jones, vice- president, Adrian Sandolow, secretary, Jeannie Halverson, treasurer. Their motto was Toward New Hori- zons . They participated in the Halloween Parade, Variety Show, and a come as you are breakfast. With Bert Sexton as president, Dixie Fellows, vice-president, and Diane Ross secretary they carried through their motto, Ars Gratia Artis-Art for the Sake of Art-to the fullest extent. ,S.?, CALIFORNIA Scholarship Federation members are chosen on the basis of scholarship, leadership and character. The sponsor during this record year was Mrs. Margaret Watson-Bray. CFS ex- tended their program of student service by personal encouragement and coach- ing. The officers were Beverly Braude, presi- dent, Nancy Nickman, vice-president, Marilyn Nickman, secretary, and Wally VanDusen, treasurer. 6 . . I BELIEVE was the feeling of the Cam- pus Christians at their Friday morning prayer meetings. The club also held de- votional meetings at noon on Thursdays. First semester presidents were Willis Fagan and Dave Murray. David Murray and Alberta Bryant were elected for president second semester. 93

The Rosemead Girls' Tennis Club was very active this year as they participated in many tournaments. The club elected Mollie Kavanaugh, President, and Billie Frank, Secretary. Play Ball was the call to the girls. Although they have been organized but a short time, they have won most of the inter-school tournaments to date. mm, em Under the leadership of Mr. Earl Wil- bert, the Ski-Urls were organized as the first recorded school ski club. Officers were Ron Little, president, Gary Hakes, vice-president, Mollie Kav- anaugh, secretary-treasurer. The club met at Green Valley, some- where in Southern California's WINTER WONDERLAND. Dues were collected to hire a ski in- structor for the club, and the members soon learned that THERE'S SNOW BUSINESS LIKE SNOW BUSINESS. p, 5. ff. lT'S N0 SECRET when it comes to government for these people, because they have attended two regional con- ventions and presented legislation such as would be done in Congress. Their officers for the first semester were Pct Nasmyth, mayor, Tom Triggs, speaker, Jackie Kruit, secretary, and Bill McKenzie, treasurer.
