0 Under the sponsorship of Miss M. J. Kramer, the Latineers cut a record for Rosemead High by holding the first Roman Banquet. Their officers for the semester were Rollie Winter, president, John McMullen, vice-president, Jackie Kruit, secretary, Faith Kooiman, treasurer. Unicode The Orchesis organized their club an the idea Shall We Dance? and that's exactly what they did. Under the direction of Miss Wadeson and officers like Pat Fazakerley, presi- dent, Pct McMurtry, vice-president, Vir- ginia Merritt, secretary, and Judy Zema, treasurer for the first semester, and Pat McMurtry, president, Judy Zema, vice- president, Monica Zema, secretary, and Claudio Hawks, treasurer for the second semester, the club broke all previous records. I The Panther Printers printed Thoughts for the Week and sponsored a dance with the Hi-Y Nobles. They visited the L. A. Times on a SENTIMENTAL JOUR- NEY to learn more about printing. Elected to serve the club first semester were Cliff Bilbo, president, and Ed Jer- gins, vice-president. The Rosemead Girls' Tennis Club was very active this year as they participated in many tournaments. The club elected Mollie Kavanaugh, President, and Billie Frank, Secretary. Play Ball was the call to the girls. Although they have been organized but a short time, they have won most of the inter-school tournaments to date. mm, em Under the leadership of Mr. Earl Wil- bert, the Ski-Urls were organized as the first recorded school ski club. Officers were Ron Little, president, Gary Hakes, vice-president, Mollie Kav- anaugh, secretary-treasurer. The club met at Green Valley, some- where in Southern California's WINTER WONDERLAND. Dues were collected to hire a ski in- structor for the club, and the members soon learned that THERE'S SNOW BUSINESS LIKE SNOW BUSINESS. p, 5. ff. lT'S N0 SECRET when it comes to government for these people, because they have attended two regional con- ventions and presented legislation such as would be done in Congress. Their officers for the first semester were Pct Nasmyth, mayor, Tom Triggs, speaker, Jackie Kruit, secretary, and Bill McKenzie, treasurer. Second semester officers were Nancy Wilsford, mayor, Peggy Edwardson, speaker, Marcy Perot, secretary, Nancy Nickman, treasurer. 95

They helped to cre- ate a record year by holding pep rallies at noon and decorating the goal posts during the football season. GIVE ME MORE, MORE, MORE school spirit was the cry of the Pep Club when they elected their officers Bill Huff, president, Ann Holbert, vice-president, and Joanne Harper, secretary first sem- ester. Second semester they elected Joanne Harper, president, Charlene Richards, vice-president, Pam Dunn secretary. 1 food ieepicme Among the activities of the Royal Thespians for the year were partici- pating in the Variety Show and Cur- tain Going Up , the all school play. A record of the club this year was pre- senting GOOD NEWS , Rosemead's first musical. Officers of their organization were: Billee Frank, president, Nancy Wilsford, vice-president, Colleen Thacher, secre- tary, and Pat McCulloch, treasurer first semester. Second semester they elected Ralph Greenup, president, Fred Reif, vice-president, Susie Reeder secretary, and Judy Rose, treasurer. sung! THREE LITTLE WORDS plus one for the 4-H Club. Hands, Heart, Head, and Health is their motto. They added a cooking class this year, making another record for RHS. Elected to serve the club were Paul Rippens, president, John Schofield, vice-presidenty Voye Sabol, secretary, and Gloria Watson, treasurer. 97
