Class Hlstor In the Fall of 1952 there were 17 freshmen enrolled in Roseland High School The class offrcers for the freshman year were presldent Anthony vice presldent Hene secretary Janice S Ueasurer Mary Lou student council Janice Pltz Edward C Enrollment for the freshman year was as follows Anthony Tolksdorf Joan Heuertz John Beiriger Edward Consbruck Janice Prtz Rrchard Stlvers Betty Hoffman Edgar weakly Janrce Stiles Margaret Haller Betty Jayne Spicknall Wayne Hoppens Mary Lou Parr Mar Jorie Wlllmes Ilene Evans Lavonne Mangers Mary Ellen Schlefelbern The freshmen sold savrngs stamps durrng this year Thrs was a pr0J6CI f01' Civics C1355 SPOU sored by Mrs Kissinger The sophomore year we gained three new members Rose Asmus from Hastings Jack Kuhns from Hastrngs and Cheryl Ward from Red Cloud We lost Janrce Pitz who moved to Illlnols The offrcers for this year were president Mary Lou vice president Betty H secretary Cheryl treasurer Joan student councrl Anthony Ilene The sophomores won the magazme drive this year Jack was high salesman throughout the school Betty attended school at Juniata Offrcers were president Mary Lou vice president Ioan sec retary Janice treasurer Mary Ellen student council Janice Richard We presented our class play a three act comedy mystery who Killed Aunt Caroline? On May 3 the Jtmror class held a formal banquet rn honor of the senlors The theme for the banquet was King Neptune s Court At the end of the Junror year Eddie Consbruck Jomed the Army Class offrcers for the semor year were presrdent Joan v1ce presldent Ilene secretary Jan ICC treasurer Mary Ellen student councrl Cheryl Wayne At the beglnnrng of the semor year Wayne Hoppens Joined the A1rForce The class then elected Edgar as council member The SSFIOIS presented their play on April I7 During the junior year, three students left Roseland. We d1d of course Ilene is a sergeant in the WACs Her husband who manages their home and 12 children has complained that he wishes she would retire but she refuses Joan is now a home ec teacher at Yale She has remained single as she does not wish to take extra baggage with her on her safaris to Darkest Africa Janis 1S a missionary in Northern S1ber1a Everyday at noon she goes to the salt mines and teaches all the exiles about our glorious cap1tal1st1c government Lavonne has married a multi millionaire and she 15 kept very busy with her Cadillacs her mink coats and her small concession stand in front of their palatial mansion famous comedian Ferdinand Bohelimedius Mary Ellen is a famous Powers model and she has won the Miss Dill Pickle Beauty contest of 1966 She plans to go on and make a career of tasting dill pickles 1n her husband s factory Mary Lou is the Iron Jaw Girl in the circus She IS married to the India Rubber Man Margaret now a professional lady wrestler is the strongest woman in the world She is going to the Olympics next year for weight lifting Jayne is Secretary of Health Education and Welfare of the Belgian Congo She came up the hard way Richard isconsldered one ofthe greatest lovers of our times He is doing a remake of the Rudolph Valentino movies Elgar is now on T V advertising QUIKLY GRO RED A new type of hair restorer especially for red heads John rs a great scientist whose theory of the egg far surpasses Ernstem s theory of relativity Anthony isagreat scientist for the Crunchy Wunchy Peanut Butter Company In the past years he developed '72 new kinds of peanut butter Cheryl has made her fortune raising radishes on a truck farm She now plans to retire and take her nine children to a mansion in the city and feed them radishes and bread and butter Marge's well-known giggle has finally paid off.
