School days should be happy days. Many opportunities are offered for your self-improve- ment. You can be what you will to be by holding yourselves consistent. Reflect upon your present blessings of which every man has many. Not on your past misfortunes of which all of us have some. To the departing members of the class of ,55, may I suggest that the one who wins is the one who works. Who uses his hands, his head, his eyes: The one who wins is the one who tries. Our book this year has been dedicated to Miss Sibyl Rose, Who last summer re- tired as foods tcachcr at Rosedalc. lVIiss Rose graduated from Rosedale in 1912, and began her tczulhing CZLI'CCF in 1915 at Preston, Kansas. She received her first degree at Kansas University in 1916. Between 1913 and 1922 she taught at Greenleaf, OVcrland Park, Marysvillc 21nd Greystonc, all Of Which are in Kansas. In 1922 Miss Rose started hcr teaching at Rosedalc. In 1934 she received her masters degree at Missouri University. XVc have strivcd to show how Miss Rose would look through the window of time at all the scenes she remembered at Roscdalc including, HER FELLOXW XVORKERS ........................
