With The Friends We’ve Known For Years Our friends were always there for us. They helped us with our homework, and they saved us seats at the games. We whispered and wrote notes to each other during class. We seemed to know each other’s thoughts, and we under- stood when one of us got moody. With our friends we could be our- selves. We shared so much with them. We went to the movies together and teased each other about crushes and romances. And, we talked about every- thing: tests, teachers, parents, work. We knew our friends so well it was hard to believe there was a time when we didn’t know them. Most of us can’t remember when or how we met the friends we’ve known for years.
