OH' VY STAN BROWN DEANNA PAYTON Sports Editor Index Editor Although a class period was used by the staff to put out the Ump- qua, many hours after school, at night, and on weekends were needed to meet deadlines. Kathy Rooney, Editor, was the only veteran this year. Therese Layton, Assistant Editor, was the lack-of-all-trades, do- ing such things as typing, writing copy, and drawing layouts. Because Linda Strickling, Advertising Manager, was usually out selling' ads to Roseburg businessmen, she was seen only occasionally sixth period. Tamyra Campbell, Business Manager, did a fine iob handling the books, and Stan Brown was in complete charge of the sports sections. Tom Rice was Art Editor, he designed this year's cover and division pages. Deanna Payton was Index Editor, and Janet Martin was in charge of all the copy. The two typists, Janice Stevens and Judy Barnes, were kept busy, especially at deadlines. New at this business, too, was Mr. Flannery, the Advisor. On the whole, the year turned out to be a lot ot fun and hard work, and the time spent was well worth the valuable experience gained. LINDA STRICKLING Advertising Manager JANET MARTIN Copy Editor MR. FLANNERY Advisor TOM RICE Art Editor
