Although the Cougars finished with o 1 ond 9 record, they managed to win the respect, loyalty ond admiration of their fans. Even though the ream fac- ed many disappointing obstacles, their Cougar Spirit never foiled them as they ployed with heart ond pride. The wet seoson hod o rainbow in that 11 ream members were honored with 10 all-district titles. Coach Craig Earp led the nine members of the squad through a long, rough season. The ream showed their love for the sport by giving their all in every game. Being inexperienced didn’t hurt this group of guys who blew post district and regional competition and went on to stare. The ream was led by rwo sophomores, Machelle Gausemeier and Lisa Roabe. The thirteen remaining freshmen played hard and learned the value of teamwork and patience. Five players won marches along the way, and although no major tournaments were won, there still is plenty of hope.
