Class History Four years ago 17 Freshmen walked up the stairs of Rosebud High School. There we met with our sponsor Mr. Norman, and chose our Class Officers. Dale Dunning was elected President, Henry Biery, Vice-President, June Anderson, Secretary- Treasurer, and Diane Lentz, Reporter. Other members of the Class were: Phoebe Anderson, Dee Wilson, Walter Quinlan, Joe Konkright, Florence Chapman, Harriet Morton, Helen Carranco, Connie and Consie Covarrubias, Pearl Butcher, Julia Martinez, Angie Quinlan, Tom Adams, and Louisa Pabolo. The second semester we moved into our new High School building. We lost Dee Wilson and Walter Quin- lan, who quit school. Joe Konkright, was transferred to Miles City. Louisa Pabolo was transferred to Hysham. As we entered our Sophomore year, Mrs. Rolston, was our sponsor. Officers were: Helen Carranco, President, Carole Brady, Vice-President, Diane Lentz, Secretary- Treasurer, and Angie Quinlan, Reporter. We initiated the freshmen and gave them a party. We were sorry to lose two more of our students, Julia Martinez and Tom Adams. Our Junior year was the hardest of all, because we had to work very hard to raise money to put on the Junior-Senior Prom. On May 11, 1957, we held the Prom. The theme was Hawaiian Cruise. Our gym was decorated with a star-ceiling, and a huge sailing boat at the front of the stage, named appropriately, Hawaiian Crui- ser. Georgia Coon was Queen and Dale Dunning, King. The Junior-Senior banquet was held at the Met Cafe, in Miles City, on May 12, 1957. Class Officers were: Dale Dunning, President, Harriet Morton, Vice-President, Carole Brady, ClassRe- porter. Our Junior Class Play was Miss Adventure. We worked hard putting it on, but we also enjoyed it. We lost Carole Brady, who was transferred to Worden. The beginning of our Senior year, we started out with nine students. We were very glad to have Wanda Schlette join us. She came from Berkeley, California. The Class Officers were as follows: Harriet Morton, President, Wanda Schlette, Vice- President, Dale Dunning, Secretary-Treasurer, and Pearl Butcher, Class Reporter. Our Class Play was The Ghost in The Belfry, under the direction of Mrs. Richard- son. On April 24th, we left on Skip Day. We all were very glad to get away from school for a few days. We enjoyed ourselves very much and we were glad to get back to school. Diane Lentz and Dale Dunning attended High School Week, at Bozeman, May 1, 2, and 3. The Junior-Senior Prom was given May 10, 1958. Our theme was The Golden Nugget. Owen McDonagh was King, and Helen Carranco, Queen. Baccalaureate Services were held on May 25, and our four years ended with Com- mencement Exercises held on May 27, 1958.
