Www In September, 1952, we entered the halls of Rosebud High School as eleven, bash- ful freshmen. We were Esther Artz, Shirley Frier, Frankie Lange, Mary Ellen Biery. Dick and DHD Biefy, DOIIIIH Patrick, Delbert Draper, Marjorie Sleaford, Angel Pab010 and Jimmy Thompson. During that year, Mildred Regester joined us but we lost Mary Ellen Biery, Shirley Frier, and Jimmy Thompson. Miss Kober was voted our Class Ad- visor and she stayed with us through all our four years we were in school. Freshman class officers were: President, Esther Artzg Vice President, Frankie Langer Secretary- Treasurer, Donna Patrick: and Margie Sleaford was our reporter. When we retumed in the fall of '53,to start our Sophomore year, we found that Clay Shorten and Delsie Wetsch had joined our class. We initiated the freshmen and then gave them a party. Frankie Lange was voted our class president, Margie Sleaford, vice presidentg and Esther Artz, secretary-treasurer. In our Junior year we lost Delsie Wetsch and Clay Shorten. It was our duty that year to put on the Junior-Senior Prom so we worked like troopers all year to raise enough money to do so. It was in January of '55 that we moved into the new high school--it was grand and we had so much room! The first week-end in March we got to go to the Divisional Tournament at Red Lodge because the boys had taken second in the district. On May 7, we held the Prom and the theme was Evening in Paris. We had decorated the gym with a star-studded ceiling, side-walk cafes and a water fountain that sprayed water over rocks. Paris at night was silhouetted on the one wall. We had the Junior-Senior Banquet at the Met Cafe in Miles City on May 15. Geneva Beyl joined our class that year. Our Class Officers were: Marjorie Sleaford, Presidentg Frankie Lange, Vice President: Geneva Beyl, Secretary -Treasurerg and Delsie Wetsch, reporter. Clay Shorten and Gary Harken joined the class at the beginning of our Senior year, although Gary was with us only four months as he joined the Navy. We gave our Class Play Here Comes Charlie on March 27, under the direction of Miss Kober. The Juniors put on the Prom, May 12, with the theme Dutch Polenaize carried out with a large windmill over the entrance. Our colors were canary yellow and national blue, our flower, the yellow rose, and our motto, Not the Sunset, but the Dawn. The Juniors also gave us a banquet at the Custer Club. Esther and Miss Kober attended High School Week at Bozeman from May 3--5. Class Officers were: Angel Pabolo, Presidentg Esther Artz, Vice Presidentg Marjorie Sleaford, Secretary-Treasurer, and Frankie Lange, reporter. Baccalaureate Services were held on May 13, and our fguy years ended with Commencement Exercises held on May 16, 1956.
