D 1 . . n . i , -D . .D Q . . . a Q wk W 60,2 D Class History We started our high school days in 1955 with twel ve freshmen, The first big event in school was initiation at which time everyone was dressed in funny Costumes Karen Ulwelling and Jean Landherr represented our class as cheer leaders and Leilani Fink was our Homecoming attendant As sophomores in 1956 we initiated the fresbxnen and in return were given a roller k t s a ing party Leilani Fink was attendant to the Homecoming Queen and Phyllis Smith was our cheerleader edy X7 Avax ected by Mr Franke which was ! A s i ,704 2' V. - --Dfgsi ',!-'9,WQ f J Affkf Class Prophecy he s ri of 1970 Jim Blahnik built the lst atomic spaceshlp for ourltrlp topseggthe rest,of our classmates We started out from the 640 d Fenske acrguiagTr3t stop was at our dear Rose Creek High School, where we found Jerome Gerhart coaching their basketball team Then we ventured up town to peak into the cafe where we found June Relnartz supervising in the kitchen On our way to Renvo, we saw Charlene still doing what she was known for, trying to get her car out of the ditch At Renova Larry Hessenius was teaching history and still skipping classes with Geometry teacher Worth Gallentlne For a difference in scenery we hop to Chicago, where Jerry Meany is teaching dancing at Arthur Murray s dance studio He told us he was still driving his white mercury Now , heading toward the East Coast we feel a jump, it was only a wild ball pitched by New York Yankeee R nald landherr p1tg2ih,thg Kamp sisters are engaged in work in New York City so we decided to drop by Joan is a professional lady wrestler She was very busy, so she d1dn't have much time to talk She told us Jean s address so we bolted over to her studio just in time to see a review of her latest sack dresses Philadelphia was just a hop and a skip so we shipped over to see how lellani Fink was coming playing the drums with Curt Wilkinsons band She had always wanted to play in the same band with Ron Giligan, so she was very happy It was just our luck to run across Cecile Meyer, the second Kitty Kallen, as she was practicing her singing My next stop was Fort Leonard Wood Army Base, Missouri, Where we found Leonard Larson, where he has been since he graduated, still working to be a private first class Omaha here we come Omaha here we are, only to find Karen Ulwelling teaching a boys shorthand class This was quite strange because we remember how Karen hated shorthand, but we just imagined it was because of the boys While driving along the barren roads to California, I decided to turn on my radio I wa very happy to hear Bob Brinkman, the f mous sports announcer, quote Dear Lavonne, It has been so lonely oops used to know Upon enterin the outskirts of Los Angeles, we spotted the building nGet Rich Quick and thought it was a good idea, so we stopped, Who did we find as head of it, none other than Mr James Lndvig Since we had a lot of time to spare, we decided to take in the Red Skeleton Show Upon enteri the outskirts of Los Angeles, we spotted the building nGet Rich Quick and thought it was a good idea, so we stopped o did we find as head of it, none other than Mr James Ludwig Since we had a lot of time to spare, we decided to take in the Red Skeleton Show only to find that it had been replaced by an old classmate of ours, The Hubert Ludwig Show While in California, we took the onportunlty to visit another of our classma es, Dick Hanson He was the warden t Alcatraz This seemed very strange to us , for it just didn t seem the kind of job that would appeal to him Before ending our Journey at Rose Creek, we stonped by to see the remaining classmates Upon entering the office of the well known arch itect, John Farrell, we found Mr and Mrs Darwin Olson, the former Bar bara Walker, making last minute changes on the new blueprint of their house They need another bedroom We also stopped to see Joyce Far rell, as we learned that she was now working as a lady preacher We now were back at Rose Creek and as we were getting out of the rocket, we realized that we had found all the seniors of the class f 6 I C .
