S.F,,,gv,- l0 Ogy K Verimtem facientey in carimtef' OUR motto seems to express most fully the characteristics of the Rosary Hill College faculty members which have gained for them our unfailing admiration and respect. When we mention the word truth, the idea of intellectual integrity will almost invariably enter the mind. This concept of intellectual integrity in a faculty member would seem to include the ability to recognize and know truth, the willingness to abide by this truth, and the desire to instill this same truth in others. Intellectual integrity in a teacher would also imply that he seek the development of himself up to a certain oint and then concentrate on the development of others. We feel certain that any student who has attended even one class at Rosary Hill will have been aware of the complete and absolute integrity of our faculty members-they are true scholars and true teachers. In addition to their devotion to truth, our faculty possesses the unique ability of translating this truth into the concrete. They not on y teach the theory, they also teach the practice. Throughout our college course, the accent has been on doing. The faculty through its interest and capability has inspired us to action-action in schol- arly pursuits and action in making well and doing well. The faculty's active charity has always been evident. Easy to approach, ever ready to listen and advise, they are never remote or disinterested in the students. Each stu- dent is accepted with this all-embracing love of mankind, and the result is a delight- ful atmosphere of friendliness and companionship between, what is in many places, the two extremes. Here there is no unbridgeable gulf-the minds and hearts of the teachers are always open-ready to receive the student. And so, for their intellectual integrity, for their healthy accent on the concrete, for their approachability and their keen interest in the students, we, the first graduates of Rosary Hill College, pay tribute to our faculty who are really Doing the truth in charity. .23
