lhc llaint odor ol' grease paint, the hasty last minute prep- arations. the hushshush atmosphere hetween scenes are all fond memories of our operatic production. The Red Jlill. Rosary's small stage went Dutch as the students played out the amusing tale ol' a mayors daughter il3ohhette Klotz' who rejected her l'ather's attempts to play Cupid and married a man of her choice flames Plossl The plot thiclxens when two Yankees posing as Sherlock and his partner. Vllatson, flint Schwartv and 'liom Nealonl get into the act with their modern ideas ol' justice in love as well as law. Vlrllk' climax finds all happy and contented. with the exception of the exasperated mayor. Vile won't easily forget those classfroom parties hetween eucs. The girls, temporary residents of the upper halls, played Canasta and rummy hy the hours, listened to a hor- rowed radio, and chewed candy hars. The lazy lads in the lower corridors spent their sparc time sleeping or singing. as might hest suit their moods. Part of the early evenings were spent in the malxeshilt heauty parlor, where Sisters spread malte-up on the hoys' none-too-happy faces. The trials were few and the experience rewarding.
