ft COLLEGE ARCHIVES ■HER FOREST, ILLINOIS 2962 Rosary College River Sorest, Illinois It is to you, Sister Aurelia, that we dedicate our Memory Book, in recognition and ad- miration of your devoted work on our behalf. We hope that this visible sign of our ap- preciation will indicate our intentions to fulfill the ideals that your work has inspired in us during our four years at Rosary. We do not intend to relegate these ideals to memory, but to actuate them in our future lives. As President of Rosary you have guided us, directed our endeavors and unconsciously filled each of us with an admiration of your work for us. Therefore, we dedicate this Memory Book to you who will forever re- main in our minds and prayers. SISTER MARY AURELIA, O.P. Rosary College President SISTER M GEORGE, O.P. COMMENCEMENT, MAY 31, 1962 Alice Gill, Joanne Robertshaw, Carol Podraza, Roberta Dougherty Chss of Nineteen Sixty-ftwo As we, the Rosary College graduating class of nineteen sixty-two inscribe herein our memories, we must omit those many intangibles of the sort that cannot be included in the mere pages of a book— and these, perhaps, are the memories that will remain with us for the longest time. We have spent our four years wisely— and each to a greater or lesser extent— with sincere aspirations that we might carry with us throughout life the ideals and principles that mold the spirit of Rosary. Of course, we have o ur lighter memories— those of our entertainment and fun. Add to these memorable events the hours spent in study, term papers, experiments in science, anxiety over tests-and their results and we have a sketchy picture of our college years. But, then, there is that pervading spirit that permeated every day of our student lives, every activity we engaged in, every friendship we made, and every desire for which we sought fulfillment-that is, add to the study, the fun, the friendships, the pervading ideals of our Catholic Faith that our college has nourished and imbued in us, and this, perhaps, is a somewhat fuller picture of what our college years held for us. We cannot forget our beloved faculty and classmates, our beloved college-it has be- come so essential a part of us that it will forever endure throughout our lives. 22 25 26 30 TflHMUfHTT ! Her physical presence is gone, but her spiritual presence remains with us. Her charity has been a constant reminder of o ur membership in the Mystical Body; her patience has taught us that all things are passing; and her humility has shown us that the meek shall be exalted. No trial, then, can isolate us, no sorrow can cut us off from the Communion of Saints. The heavenly world hangs serenely overhead; only a thin veil floats between.
