In this scene of the Christmas Play, Scrooge threatens the Cratchitt family and a group of carolers as Marly's ghost hovers in the back- ground. Martians welcome the first earth people on the moon with a Christmas tree of green cheese. The Christmas Play is traditionally given by the Seniors. Donna Vanderheiden holds this group's at- tention at the February SGA Ball, Fantasie en Masque. Pat Joy, senior, passes on the light of wisdom and knowledge to Mary Kavanaugh, junior. She receives in return the rose of love and rememberance in the symbolic Candle and Rose ceremony held on the eve of graduation. 20
