Rosary Sunday, this year October I , is the College's patronal feast, made unforgettable by traditional services. Opened by an early nnorning solemn high mass, the ceremonies were con- tinued in mid-afternoon when the Very Reverend John L. Callahan, O.P. spoke. This was followed by the blessing of one thousand roses to be offered to Our Lady and the lighting of the Peace Candle. The A Capella Choir sang O Salutaris hiostia ' and Tantum Ergo at the Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament which ensued. A daylight procession to the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes closed the afternoon service. Crowning gift of the children of the Rosary on this day was a second pro- cession by torchlight to Our Lady's grotto accompanied by the devoted hHall Mary's of the participants who told their beads along the way.
