Shown here are just some of the things that the active students have been doing — reading, artwork, pep rallies, choosing the best class ring, or just the usual fooling around. Although the classes are slowly shrinking in size, the noise or school spirit never seems to let up.

Rosalie studies school merger ROSALIE, Neb. — A steering committee ap- pointed to investigate a possible merger for the Rosalie School District is expected to report its findings in about a month. So far, the eight-member committee has met with officials from the Lyons and Bancroft school districts and will meet with officials from the Walthill district. They hope to determine which other school district has the best overall facilities and best program and then try and work out some type of merger or reorganization with that district, said Rosalie Superintendent Ken Brown. Any merger or reorganization, Brown said, probably will take effect for the 1982-83 school year. Plans now call for Rosalie to keep the system as it is, with grades kindergarten through 12 in one building, for the next school year. The major problem. Brown said, is declining enrollment. Rosalie started the present school year with a total of 102 students in all.grades. Projected enrollment for the 1985-86 school year is 89 students.
