Susan Sheldrick was the first time art teacher in Rosalie. She taught K-12 basic art skills and was the sponsor for the Junior class. Barbara Garrett taught K-12 vocal and instrumental music. She organized Rosalie's first marching band and was the Freshmen sponsor. Barbara Wildman taught 11 fifth and 8 sixth grade students. Gary Jorgenson was the Head football Coach, P.E., and Health Instructor. He taught a course in C.P.R. for all students in P.E. and offered an after school class to the teachers. He also coached the junior High Co-ed Basketball Team and sponsored the R-Club.

Carol Peterson taught 7-12 grade English, which included Grammar, and Speech. She also directed the first all-school play and one act plays and spon- sored the Sophomore class. Jennifer Pierce taught 7-12 grade Home Ec., and Consumer Ed. She also sponsored the Pep Club. Cooks were Rosella Anderson, Head Cook, and Jeannine Jorgenson who began working in the Kitchen sec- ond semester to help prepare the meals. L isa Boyer taught 12 Kindergarteners and also taught Re- medial Reading to grade school children. Vicki Schmitz taught 7-12 grade Math classes and also coached Volleyball and Junior High Basketball. In addition to a full-time Principal this was also the first year for a full-time Home Ec. teacher. With the addition of this position, three new classes were added: Design-Tailoring, Adult Living-Child Devel- opment and Consumer Ed. Art I, Art II and Elemen- tary Art were also added along with a Remedial Math Program. A Welding and Drafting class was added to the Shop Program, and an Elementary Library was added to the existing facilities and supervised by a part-time Librarian. 11

Darnelle Nissen taught 7-12 Science classes and sponsored the Senior class. She also was Lunch Supervisor. Ernest McMurtry taught Industrial Arts, Drafting, and Welding. He also was assistant Football and Basketball Coach. Kim Naden taught 7-12 History courses and was the head Basketball and Track Coach. June Hawk was the first part-time Library Supervisor. She helped with K-6 grade students by reading short stories and was also the 8th grade sponsor. 13
