Text from Pages 1 - 80 of the 1979 volume:

School days are special days — football games, cheerleading, volleyball practice, pep rallies, ski trips, term papers. Homecoming and Prom, pop- corn at basketball games, school lunches, water balloons, rainy track meets, Christmas vacation, music concerts, writing the school paper, and burning the midnight oil studying for those Histo- ry semester tests are all part of those days. As each school year ends we think of those trea- sured days and try to recall all of the wild and crazy things we did. And what is a better way of remembering those dear days than your old High School yearbook. The 1978-79 Yearbook Staff wants to help you recall this past school year. Arsenic and Old Lace , by Joseph Kes- selring. Abby and Martha Brewster are two elderly ladies whose hobby is poisoning lonely old gentlemen. Their nephew, Mortimer, fi- nally pops the question to the parson's daughter, Elaine. His proposal slips his mind when he discovers his aunts' hob- by , and he's sent into an even greater frenzy when his evil brother, Jonathan, re- turns after many years of travel and mur- der. The tension mounts as the brothers fight for control of the house. Both become nervous when the neighborhood policemen keep popping in. The only person unaffected by the crisis is a third brother, Teddy, who imagines himself to be President Theodore Roosevelt. The conflict is resolved when the aunts and Teddy are committed to Happy Dale Sani- tarium, Jonathan is hauled off to jail, and Elaine and Mortimer plan their marriage.
