Dedication 1973 Bulldog Growl Rosalie High School We, the Senior Class of 1973, dedicate our year- book to Mrs. Margaret Anderson. She has taught for twenty-one years at Rosalie Public School and is now retiring. We appreciate her outstanding service and dedication. Sponsor—Del Stansberry Editors—Reanae Hennig Cheryl Reil CINDY SUE BROWN KAY JANEEN COPPLE 2 RAY C. HERMELBRACHT CINDY MARINE Adult graduate DIANE NELSON Adult graduate 3 Senior Sneak to Black Hills The Senior Class of 73 went to the Black Hills of South Dakota for their Sneak Trip. They left Rosalie on Saturday, May 5, and returned Monday, May 7. Some of the sights that were visited were Rushmore Cave, Marine Land and the famous Mt. Rushmore. Herds of wild buffalo, friendly chipmunks and a donkey or two entertained the group for a memorable weekend. Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heckathorn and Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Holtz. Senior Class Play On Friday the 13th of April, the Senior Class presented The Vase. The Vase was a tragedy in three acts. Robert Hecka- thorn wrote and directed the play. The story takes place at a small rural village in Iowa during the Civil War Era. The plot centers around Frieda after Billy, her son, goes to war. Frieda communicates with Billy through a vase that he bought for her. Frieda thinks Billy will die if the vase breaks. The story ends with a cold, chilling climax. Reverend George Evans gave the address to the graduating class of 73. Joy is Like the Rain was sung by the Girls Trio. The Senior Class of 1973 was brought together as a class for the last time at graduation exercises on May 15. Honors of vale- dictorian went to David Pape with Kent Hansen receiving the honor of salutatorian. The graduating boys wore purple gowns while the girls wore gowns of white. The gym and stage were decorated with the class colors and the class motto We Do Not Fear the Attempt; We Find It Glorious. Junior Class The dauntless Juniors have sustained another year of high school. We commenced the year by having our mag- azine sale. We procured over four hundred dollars, and want to earnestly thank all who supported the class by buying a magazine. We really appreciate the dough. Our play. The Mystery in the Library , was a fab- ulous success. I'm sure all the privileged onlookers thor- oughly enjoyed themselves. We got our rings in November and surprisingly, most of us still have them. Isn't that unusual? So our Junior year is over and we're all ready to be great Seniors next year. See you then! KAY DAGGETT--Secretary-Treasurer DENISE PRESTON--President MIKE KINNING--Vice President 10 Cheryl Reil Gary Anderson Randy Miles John Kroger Mike Kinning Kay Daggett Gary Busselman Allen Steinmeyer Tim Copple Len Hermelbracht Denise Preston Sophomore Class We, the lovable, adorable, humble, sexy sophomores of 1972-73, spent most of our time TRYING to be just lov- able, adorable, humble, and SEXY! Although we haven't had too many money-raising projects this year, we have thought seriously of robbing a bank and using The Dent (Alias: Mike's three door Ford) as a get away car. But seriously now, we are planning to have a raffle later on this year, and if we're lucky, maybe earn a few dollars. If our luck holds out, we hope to make lots of money in the future. And so as we get closer to the wonderful, glorious day in May, the Sophomores of 1972-73 would like to of- fer this warning! We shall return! 12 MIKE MARR--President MARTY NOLTING - -Secretary -Treasurcr PAUL KROGER--Vice President Sue Christ Marty Nolting Cindy Sailors Sherrie Busselman Ruth Pullen Arlene Anderson Paul Novak Mike Marr Cindy Anderson David Kinning Paul Kroger Bob Peterson Steve Pape The timid eighth grade class of 1972 became the proud freshmen of 1973. We all had our own personal fears of high school, but we soon found out it was not so hard. Everyone is loving school and passing with flying colors, ha! The freshmen initiation was not permitted this year. A sigh of relief was expressed from each freshman. But in the shower and locker rooms, the upperclassmen are get- ting their revenge upon us. When we become juniors and seniors, we will never do that, will we? The class is very hard at work earning money for our senior year. We served at Mrs. Thomas' music program and plan on having a car wash this summer. We will prob- ably end up just as wet as the cars. For ten years we have been educated at Rosalie Pub- lic School and only three short years are left. We all plan on continuing our education and top it all off by graduat- ing as part of the class of 76 .
