Junior Class The Junior Class of 1971 started the year off with high spirits. Every- time the end of the six weeks rolled around they kept getting lower and lower and lower!! Our Junior Class Play went over as a smashing success, sponsored by Mrs. June Hawk. Class officers were elected and following were the privileged: Craig Novak-President; Shirley Bonneau-Vice-President; and Carol Daggett- Secretary-Treasurer. Since Mrs. Hawk had to leave school before semester we had a new sponsor. Mrs. Naomi Murphy, which did not last long. After she left we got another sponsor. Miss Pat Vuchetich. We broke a record of having three sponsors in one year. Our biggest money-making project this year was our Magazine Sales. We received our class rings in late November, from Josten’s. After the first semester ended we received a new member to our class, Steve Casey.

The year of 70-71 started off with a splat—Freshman Ini- tiation. The evening started out with an arrangement of shaving cream, rotten eggs, tomatoes, and chicken intestines. There were also a few cow yard products flying through the air. As it ended, as usual, the Sophomores got it just as bad as the Freshman. Our next encounter was the Sophomore Bake Sale. By some miracle, we cleared S52.75. Lee Brasch, after a hard night of soda pop?, happened to run into one of his old girlfriends on the road-Betsy the Cow. The Sophomore class frequently saw Lea Ann Brum- mond with what appeared to be rope burns on the upper half of her body!!!! We had two new additions to our superb class this year, Diane Reil and David Pape. It took them awhile to get used to our tactics, but by the end of the year they were used to us. After nine months of treachery at the Rosalie Rathole along with our sponsor, Del Stansberry, we are proud to re- port, we all FLUNKED!!!!!
