Class Sponsor SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In September, 19 8, a group of 11 youngsters, entering school for the first time, picked their way up the steps into the Rosalie Public School. Our teacher was Mrs. CoppLe. Mrs. Copple was our teacher again for the next year. We lost Loren and Larry Ahlers this year. The following year we were promoted to the third grade where we were all proud to be. Mrs. Orr was our teacher. This year we lost Dennis Anderson and gained Sharon Eby and Kenneth Freel. Mrs. Orr was our teacher again in the fourth and fifth grades. In our +th grade year we lost Wesley Wingett and gained Donald Newill. And in the 5th grade we gained Glenn Briggs. But unfortunately we lost him the same year. Our teacher for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades was Mrs. Chambers. Kathleen Canarsky joined us in the 7th grsde. Joe Mallette and Gerrett Pape joined our class in the eighth grade. As we began our freshman year, Bethie Schneider and A1 Krumweide joined us from a countty school. Later, Larry Pearson moved to Rosalie, giving our class an enrollment of fifteen. The first week we were inita ted by the sophomores and were now full fledged high school students. We lost Bethie Schneider at the end of our first semester, but gain- ed R W Blankenblecker. Our sponsor was Larry Johnson. Class officers were: Linda Nelson, President; Gene Busselman, V. President; Joe Mallette, Secretary. While we were Sophomores, we were given the honor of in- itating the freshmen. Our sponsor was Mr. Ostdiek. This year our class decreased by the loss of Donald Newill and Kenneth Freel. Class officers were: Mary Donlin, President; R W Blankenbeckler, V. President; Donna Andersen, Secretary; Gerrett Pape, Treasurer. During the Junior year we ordered our class rings and gave the Junior-Senior Banquet with Song in My Heart as our theme. Class officers were Gary Burmester, President; Donna Andersen, Secretary; Larry Pearson, Treasurer. As we approached the end of our high school career we found we had fourteen members in our Senior clsss. This year we were kept busy issuing the Bulldog once a month andprint- ing our annual, The Bulldog Growl. We journeyed to Sioux City where Genelli Studios took our class pictures. In the spring we gave our class play and went on our Sneak Day. Our officers were Sharon Freel, President; Linda Nelson, Secre- tary; Mary Donlin, Treasurer. Our sponsor was Mr. Beck. Class of I960 SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY We are gathered together to discuss the problems ol jet propelled hot-rodders or this year, 1999. in the metropolis of Kosville, Nebraska, Gene Busselman, the present patrol- mein is working under his famous motto: Have Badge, will Catch . Just yesterday he was called out on special duty to catch Hot-Rodder Patty Gustin , who has been terrorizing the town with her zooped-up Chevy. Joe Mallette, a promi- nent citizen of RosVille, has been filing complaints about this reckless driving. He claims that these crazy hot- rodders have been driving over his lawn, and have completely ruined his beautiful flower garden. Last night, Gene Busselman arrested Mary Donlin for reckless driving. When she was thrown into the county jail, she found the cellmate to be an old ex-con, Sharon Freel, with whom she went through school. Special services are be- ing held this Sunday at the County Jail for the prisoners by Rev. Albert Henry Krumwiede. Linda (Bass) Nelson accomp- anies him and sings to the prisoners. It just doesn't reach their hearts. Larry (Soprano) Pearson used to accompany Linda in the singing. R.W. (Arf) Blankenbeckler, professor at Yale College, is giving a lecture to a group of students about Teen-Age Driving . Kathleen Canarsky, president of the Hot-Rod Club , doesn't think much of Professor Blankenbeckler's speeches, for she has just completed a course teaching all the members of this club the fundamentals of Hot-Rod Driv- ing . Gerrett (Angelic) Pape, one of her students, just can't seem to get the Knack of hot-rodding. The local newspaper, in Sharon Eby's column, has been carrying articles on this disturbing situation. The last article carried information about Donna Andersen, who took her Dad's truck around town. She turned a corner too sharp- ly and the truck jack-knifed on her. Gary Burmester came putting over the hill in his Model-T Ford, and when his brakes failed, ran right into Donna. It caused quite a dis- turbance, and now tireless Gene Busselman has another case on his hands. If things get too bad, Gene can always rely on the fa- mous State Patrolman, Mr. Beck, to help him out. —Jacquiline Slaughter Dennis Anderson ♦ GRADUATION BACCALAUREATE Rosalie High School Auditorium Sunday Evening, May 15, I960 8:00 o’clock Processional................................... .Mrs. Gustin Invocation............................The Rev.
