W ' A fi ? .t Q95 UB? MR. FASTEP--You can always find Mr. Eastep, our art teacher, busily drawing or creating masterpieces in the art room to the surprise of his students. He is also a veteran ping pong player and it is only logical that he is the coach of our ping pong team, which incidently had a successful season this year. MR. STAEBELL- -While advising his journalism staff, which publishes an outstanding monthly Spartanic, he sometimes slips up and subconsciously draws basketballs or track shoes all over the copy. This could be caused by always concentrating on his B- squad basketball team, or maybe he is thinking about coaching track in the spring. When he infrequently has spare time, he also advises the frosh class. 6 MRS. VOGE--Something is always cooking in the Home Ec room, whether it be tasty goodies made by the Home Ec students, or tricky schemes to try out with the girl's basketball team. With Home Ec and girl's basketball keeping her quite active, we Wonder how she finds the time to also be the FHA Advisor but she seems to handle them Without much trouble.

F acult Administration If ff Mrs. Widman--This picture depicts the true Mrs. Widman, always teaching science, that's why she captured the de- served title of Biology Teacher of the Year for the State of Washington. She also is co-coach for high school bowl, and the advisor for the junior Class. Mrs. Tye--Do you hear the sound of a whip cracking, chances are that Mrs. Tye is nearby. No, it is only the sound of busy typewriter keys because Mrs. Tye is the head of the Business Education department. Not only does she teach the Business courses but also Spanish. She is the Ad- visor of the Spartan Annual Staff and the Senior Class. Even though she is accused of cracking the whip, this could be the reason she accomplishes so many things. Mr. McKay--Among the baa of sheep, the moo of steers, and the squeal of pigs and tires, you'1l find Mr. McKay. He's the head of the agriculture and driver's education de- partment. Advising the FFA keeps him extremely busy. But his efforts are well rewarded as his FFA is rated among the top 10 in the state. 5

Scholastic Scholars MR. THOMAS--Sounds of beautiful music can always be heard coming from the band room under the direction of Mr. Thomas, our music teacher. But music isn't his only talent, he also teaches English and acts as the NHS Advisor. it S 1 3, .,arffsnwz25awl i, , fa MRS. PIASTINO--Numbers here, numbers there, num- bers, numbers everywhere and in the midst you can see Mrs. Plastino, our math teacher. She's always there to discuss the confusing world of numbers and advise the sophomore class. She also makes a colossal High School Bowl Co-coach. MR. FEENAN--Amidst the smell of firm grip and kramer gesic, among adhesive tape and knee pads, our terrific coach is always there, coaching his basketball team and doing a fantastic job. On top of that, he also is our high school counselor who helps us in our preparation for col- lege. MRS. I-IENNING--Wherever there are books, filmstrips, newspapers, or huge library fines you will find our librari- an, Mrs. Henning. She is usually kept busy maintaining law and order in the library, but she always finds time to supervise that spirited group of girls, the Spartanettes. 7
