PRGPHECY The Lone Star State held not only long-horns, but Yvonne Allert and Jo Ann Engel, busily engaged in trainin' the kids how to rope and tie a man. On to Kansas where we ran out of gas on a little countryroad. Flagging down two young farmers in a new car, we discovered Clinton McGuire and Willie Eas- ton who were very glad to help us. Arriving in Tuscon, Arizona, we passed the Ball and Dodd Packing Plant where Helen Hall was employed as the chief stenographer to the second Vice- President. ' On to Hollywood, where the former Donna Bishop is head receptionist at the M.G.M. Studios. After a brief tour of the lot we headed toward Santa Monica where janyce Ogden was autographing her latest best seller at Macy's. We turned toward Salt Lake City, where Donna Wells officiates at the Deep Down Funeral Home. We journeyed to Portland where Winnie MacDermid was operating a fashion- able beauty salon. . As we headed homeward, we stopped at Gray's Harbor and visited our former teacher and class advisor, Mrs. Pebley. She spends her time resting on the beach and thinking of the class of '50. Signing off, Your Roving Reporter

PROPHECY On our imaginary vacation in the year of 1960, we traveled throughout the U.S. and happened on to many of our graduation classmates. In our home state we found Dave, managing the Widman ranch. At Rosalia, a thriving city of 25,000, we discovered Sally Helmer was teaching journalism and Social Science. After bidding them adieu we headed east into the state of Idaho, where we visited Bettie Hames and her husband operating a motel and cafe. Turning our heads toward the state of Montana and remembering that Rolly Porter was herding his flock of sheep, we stopped for a short chat. We continued into the flat lands of our country, the Dakotas. Here we visited the farm of Bill Coe, who was busily engaged in separating milk. After an uneventful trip through several states, we reached Illinois and de- cided to go to Chicago and Visit Dr. Boyd Hardesty who was practicing psychiatry. In St. Louis we went through Dean Wyer's fuel factory, where the new scien- tific discovery of making fuel from corn cobs was in full swing. Marvin seems to have taken chickens seriously as he has settled in New Hampshire. We visited with the former Vernell Wills as she washed eggs for market. A well known public figure and New York lawyer, Bill Palmer, was presiding over the case of John L. Lewis vs.'Congress. As we journey thru the administration building at Washington D.C., we hap- pened upon Margery Marcy, confidential secretary to the Secretary of War, and jackie jackson secretary to the Vice President. Basking in the sun on the beach of Miami, Florida, we stumbled across Dorene Deeds. Seems her rich husband passed on and left her a large sum of money. Bob McBride was singing the lead in the stage production of Oklahoma at Tulsag we attended the show. Barefeet! Typical of backwoods Kentucky life, we found Lois Williams cleaning house while Bill Tupling, her farm hand, was busily working in the tobacco fields. In jackson, Mississippi, we decided to stopat Madam Fifi's Salon for a wave and a manicure, where to our surprise we found Carmella Fuhriman.
