The second five, however, has several players who will develop into first class hoop men with an additional year of experience. Elmer Jeske, who substituted at center, for Mattausch, is a first class player and Junior Kjack, though small in size, is a fast breaking guard. These prospects plus the smooth playing of Joel Porter, and Bill Tupling and the returning Letterman, McBride and Widman look like another successful season is in store for the Rosalia High team in 1949. Fred Brannan, himself a college star, is the coach of this fine basket ball squad. Eugene Prince and Alfred Tanner were team managers. We direct that our memories be forever kept sacred. ALLEN MATTAUSCH gives unto Arnold Dickinson, his great ab- ility, that of much and frequent speech. To the whole Frosh class, CORINNE WATERMAN, gives her saucy replies and answers. MARIAN WIDMAN leaves to Pat Lee, her unusual ability, that of singing clever songs. DICK WYER bequeaths to Melvin Hofmann, his perfect physique. LEROY THOM AND JOYCE GIRSBERGER, leave only their love to keep the school warm. BOB SCHMIDT leaves many happy memories to a certain Junior girl. GLORIA WEITMAN bequeaths her 'Way' with the men to Janyce Ogden. TED MANTZ leaves his nice disposition to Vaughn Murphy, a needy Junior. ELAINE PETERS and ELAINE DANIELSON give their ability of getting into traffic problems and hot water, respectively, to Gwelda who has the brains to get out of such. JIM RASMUSSEN appears to need all he possesses and more too, he asks for donations. . . KATHLEEN ROELLICH leaves her sturdiness to Eleanor Raasch, who packs a wallop too. . . LEILA JAMES leaves Yvonne Allert a 'Clear Field'. JESSIE HODGEN and BILLIE HILL leave part of their friendship to Helen Hames and Elsie Jean Parker. EUGENE PRINCE leaves his ability to strut to any Banty roo- ster who comes to school. MARGARET EASTON leaves her drawing ability to James who doesn't need it anyway. In addition to the Junior Class's headaches, MARIAN PETER- SCHICK gladly wills her share. Each member of the class wills in addition a case of as- pirin and a nicely padded cell to the teachers to spend the rest of their days in peace and quiet. We, the whole class, hope the recipients of the above named articles, will preserve them forever and one day, and also hope that Some how the rest of the school may struggle through the years without the Class of '48. tn!
