In recent years physi- cal fitness has come into greater prominence . Fit- ness is not solely a con- dition of the body but of the mind as well. The purpose of Physical Edu- cation is to give students the opportunity to strengthen their bodies and to develop skills through athletics. I . I Mrs. N. Johnson, and Mrs. I . Jordan work with students in Math. Mrs. L. LeCounte guides students in the choice of books for free reading in English Class. PROJECT IMPACT Project IMPACT is a pilot created to individualize instruction. Concentrated effort is made in the areas of English, Mathematics, and Guidance to assist stu- dents participating in the program in scho- lastic and social adjustment. The basic premise of Project IMPACT is that by establishing specific learning pro- cedures, environmental controls and appro priate consequences for performance , learning behaviors can be developed and maintained.
