Emery Balduf, Dean of Student Services at Roosevelt University since the school was founded in 1945, retired June 28, 1957. After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Mr. Balduf taught German and philosophy at many schools, including the University of Chicago, Central YMCA College of Chicago, and Roosevelt University. He has also served in an administrative capacity at these schools. During World War II, while serving with several government agencies, Mr. Balduf interpreted crucial defense policies to our schools and colleges, and acted as liason between these schools and various war agencies. Mr. Balduf is now teaching at the University of Mexi- co City and participating in the Adult Education Program there. One of the main purposes of this university is to increase good will and understanding between Mexico and the the United States, ther this goal Mr. Balduf is thereby helping to fur- EDWARD J. The girls work in conjunction with other organizations to achieve these goals for the entire student body.
