Left: The cameraman found Mr. Schoonmaker helping three stu- dents solve a problem concern- ing the height of our school chimney. The girls are Marcia Maynard, Kay Mctitkmd and Carolyn Parker. Mr. Gerin, our engineer, is cm interested spec- tutor.

AROUND OUR SCHOOL Left: During the noon hour Cit the Green Parrot a group of boys exam- ine one of the many bikes parked there. They are, left to right: Chuck Seddon, Ralph Hogan, Bob Becknell, Bob Lindholm, Ioe Reichenbcxch and Dale Miller. Below: As Marilyn W'eller writes CI letter, Sally Cross and Barbara Burd study their Home Arts on the steps of Roosevelt. The three make CI study in lights and shadows. Above: Six lunch hours are re- quired to feed the gang at Roose- velt each noon. Miss Normile's A lunches provide a balanced diet daily. Right: Every day at lunch time we hear music coming from the audito- rium. Investigating, we find many girls on the stage dancing to CI waltz or a samba. The picture above was taken at ct typical noon hour.

The editorial staff for 1953 are, seated, Marsha Douglas, Marcia Crosby, Sandra Granquist, Sharon Stein, and Kay Sohner. The boys are, Mike Harris, Tom Rehwctld, and Milton Block. This group shared the planning, writing of copy, Checking of proofs and construction of our book. Our two typists, Marilyn Larson and Sondra Worden, were selected by their typing teachers for their accuracy and skill in this very important part of Roughrider work. Their pages go directly to the typesetters after being checked by the edi- torial staff. Chosen each year are the Roughrider art staff who design the cover and the division pages. Seated from left to right are, Iudy Dyresonl Char- lotte Probasco, Carol Dunklee, their advisor, Mrs. Stringer, and Orct Markell. Absent were, Io Mary Lee and Darlene Nelson. We think they did CI wonderful job, don't you?
