Miss Jeannette Blomquist, B.E., Librarian THE LIBRARY During the year, the library received some money from the Parent-Teacher Association for which new books were pur- chased, making the total number of volumes in the library 3500. Ninth grade students were assigned to study in the library one period each day. During this time members of the Library Service Club assisted in charging books and placing them on the shelves. One teacher assisted the librarian each period also. Seventh and eighth grade pupils were urged to make use of information to be found in the library. This, they could do before or after school. The room was made more attractive by the addition of some new pictures and by the flags of the United Nations which adorn the mantel. ' A typical scene in the library. 22
