GENERAL SCIEQNCE To familiarize the students with science in their immediate surroundings was the aim of the General Science department this year. Because of the war and its needs many valuable inventions and discoveries have been made in the field of chemistry, medicine, bacteriology, dentistry, and meterology. Many of these new discoveries have been brought before the students. Emphasis was placed upon health from as practical a viewpoint as possible, so that all might be health conscious continually. Students have often discovered new fields of interest or hobbies from their study of science. 16
